Marist Moves To 23rd In Latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The Marist women's basketball team jumped
up two spots to 23rd in the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll,
released on Tuesday. The Red Foxes earned 83 votes, placing them above
Syracuse and UTEP.
This marks the first time in program history that the Red Foxes
have been ranked in the Coaches' Poll in consecutive weeks. Marist won
both of their games last weekend, defeating Niagara at the McCann
Center on Friday before taking down Rider on the road on Sunday. The
Red Foxes clinched their fifth-straight MAAC regular season
championship Friday night and have now won 15 straight games, the
fifth-longest streak in the country. Marist also received 56 votes in
the Associated Press Top 25 poll on Monday, a season-high.
Marist plays their final true road game of the season on Friday
night when they take on Saint Peter's. Tipoff in Jersey City, N.J. is
scheduled for 7 p.m.
