Siena Men's Lacrosse Receives Votes in Latest USILA Coaches' Poll

Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena College men's lacrosse team was listed third amongst teams receiving votes in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches' Poll announced today. This marks the first time in program history that the Saints received votes in the poll.
The Green and Gold have gotten off to a 2-0 start this season following a pair of home victories. Siena topped Presbyterian, 19-3 in its season opener on February 16 and then came away with a 6-5 decision over Ivy League power Harvard this past Saturday.
The Saints were neither ranked nor receiving votes in the previous preseason poll. Today's poll was the first released since the beginning of the season. Perennial power Johns Hopkins was ranked first in the poll and received eight of 15 first place votes.
Siena returns to action tomorrow afternoon for a 2 p.m. game at cross-town rival UAlbany. The Great Danes are ranked in the USILA poll and check in at 13th overall.
