Jason thompson, Rider
Senior, Forward, 6-11, 250, Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape
Thompson, a senior forward, averaged 21.5 points, 15.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 blocks per game as the Broncs earned two league wins and first place in the MAAC. He shot 55.9 percent from the field (19-34) and 62.5 percent from the free throw line (5-8). Thompson tied his own Rider record with 21 rebounds against Siena, as many as the entire Siena team. According to ESPN, he is the first player since Tim Duncan 10 years ago at Wake Forest to compiled 20+ points, 20+rebounds and five assists in a road game. The double double was Thompson's 14th of the season and 44th of his career.
MAAC Co-Rookies of the Week
Greg Logins, Canisius
Freshman, Forward, 6-7, 240, Sodus, N.Y./The Kent School
Logins, a freshman forward, averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last week as the Golden Griffins went 1-1 in two home league games. For the week, he shot 56.3 percent from the field, 80 percent from 3-point range and 71.4 percent from the free throw line, while also collecting two assists and a steal for the Blue and Gold.
Brian Rudolph, Loyola
Freshman, Guard, 5-11, 170, New Bedford, Mass./New Bedford
Rudolph, a freshman guard, averaged 8.5 points and 6.5 assists per game to lead the Greyhounds to a 2-0 week. He connected on 70 percent of his shots from the floor (7-10). Rudolph matched his career best with eight assists at NJIT, while adding six points. He then scored 11 points and dished out five assists while not coming off the floor at Canisius.
