Zhmurenka, Jotanovic and Cureton Earn Indoor Track Weekly Awards

Edison, NJ ? Saint Peter’s Roman Zhmurenka and Manhattan’s Milan Jotanovic were named the Men’s Indoor Track co-Performers of the Week. Rider’s Karlise Cureton was selected as the Women’s Indoor Track Performer of the Week.
Zhmurenka, a senior from Bayonne, NJ, won the 500 meter dash for the fifth time this season on Saturday at the Delaware Invitational. He won the race with a time of 1:05.97 and improved his time by 1.15 seconds.
Jotanovic, a native of Serbia, won the shot put on Friday at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships with an NCAA "A" qualifying mark of 19.47 meters.
Sophomore Karlise Cureton set a Rider record in the 60 meter high hurdles with a time of 9.04. She finished third in the event at the University of Delaware Thompson Invitational. For Cureton, it was her second team record in as many weeks.
The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track Championships will be held on Friday, February 22nd at The Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
