Edison, NJ ? Loyola’s Doug Alban and Marist’s Spencer Hartmann were selected as the MAAC Men’s co-Swimmers of the Week, while Marist’s Sandra Bujalski was named the Women’s Swimmer of the Week. Marist’s Mitchell Katz and Melissa Mangona were selected as the Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week, respectively.

Alban won two events on Senior Day at Loyola last Saturday, taking first in both the 100 backstroke (55.92) and 200 backstroke (2:00.55) as the Greyhounds defeated Iona and Fairfield in the regular season finale.

Hartmann won the 200 yard butterfly in Marist’s two point loss to Seton Hall on Saturday. Hartmann also had second place finishes in both distance freestyle events. He had a time of 4:41.07 in the 500 and 9:52.60 in the 1000. He also was part of the winning 400 yard freestyle relay team.

Bujalski, a junior, played a huge role in the Red Foxes 167-133 win over Seton Hall on Saturday. Bujalski won three events on the day and was part of the winning 400 yard medley relay team. She won the 200 yard butterfly (2:10.62), the 100 yard freestyle (54.84), and the 200 yard individual medley (2:12.28).

Sophomore Mitchell Katz had a strong meet for Marist in their loss to Seton Hall. Katz won the 1 meter event with a 279.44 and took second in the 3 meter with a 255.83. Marist divers took the top three places in each diving event in the meet.

Mangona, a senior, won both boards in Marist’s dual-meet win over Seton Hall. It was the sixth straight dual-meet she has swept the diving events. She won the 1 meter with a 232.27 and the 3 meter with a score of 266.63.
