Fairfield's Paulina Rys Named MAAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Edison, NJ ?Fairfield’s Paulina Rys was named the MAAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week. Rys has won the award in back-to-back weeks.

Rys went 2-0 against Villanova on March 4th as Fairfield concluded its stay in Florida. She picked up the 6-0, 6-0 victory over Emily Urda at No. 2 singles to win her third-straight singles match. She then posted an 8-6 doubles victory with partner Dana Postupack at No. 1 doubles. Rys is 6-10 in singles play this season and is 9-9 in doubles play.

The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships will take place from April 18th through April 20th at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
