Siena Men's Basketball Draws #13 Seed in Midwest Region, Will Face Vanderbilt

Edison, N.J. - Siena College earned the #13 seed in the Midwest Region of the 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship, and will face #4 Vanderbilt University on Friday, March 21 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla. Game time is slated for 7:20 p.m.
The Saints (22-10) will be making their fourth appearance in the NCAA Championship after earning the MAAC's automatic bid with a 74-53 win over Rider University in the title game of the 2008 Citizens Bank MAAC Basketball Championships. The Commodores (26-7), who are making their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 1988 and 1989, will be a four seed at the tournament for the first time in the history of the school.
The winner of the Siena-Vanderbilt contest would take on the winner of the #5 Clemson-#12 Villanova matchup on Sunday, March 23.
