MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

 

ERIN RIGBY, FAIRFIELD

A, So., 5-6, Fair Haven, N.J./Red Bank Catholic

 

Rigby powered the Stags to a pair of wins on the week, leading the way with nine points. She tallied six goals and had three assists in the two games. Rigby also had five draw controls on the week. In the program’s first-ever win over Boston College, she touched net three times, on just four shots. She also added two assists in that contest.  In the road win at Mount St. Mary’s she posted another hat trick with three goals, as well as dishing out another assists.

 

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

 

CAROLINE MADRAK, FAIRFIELD

M, Sr., 5-6, Beryn, Pa./Conestoga

 

Madrak was a key in the Stags two wins on the week. She had five caused turnovers on the week, as well as nine ground balls. In a tight road win at Mt. St. Mary’s, Madrak recorded four caused turnovers and had six ground balls, both team highs. In the win over the Eagles at home, she had three ground balls and a caused turnover.

 

MAAC Rookie of the Week

 

KRISTEN COLEMAN, FAIRFIELD

M, Fr., 5-11, Potomac, Md./Holy Cross


Coleman was a key to the Stags 2-0 week, tying for the team lead with nine points. In the two games she netted six goals and three assists. Coleman had six draw controls on the week, as well as two ground balls. She led the way with four goals, all in the second half against The Mount. Her goals helped break open a 6-6 second half tie, as the Stags won their fourth straight. She also had four draw controls and an assist in the road win on Saturday. In the upset of Boston College she netted two goals and had two assists.
