Melissa Giordano, Marist
Junior, SS, 5-4, Stamford, Conn./Stamford
Giordano went 7-for-13 (.539) in four games versus Longwood and Yale. She had multiple hits in three of the four games the Red Foxes played, and added a stolen base. Giordano went 3-for-3 in the opening game of Marist’s doubleheader with Yale. In that game she doubled and hit a two out, two-run homer that accounted for both of the Red Foxes’ runs in the 2-1 win. Giordano was also perfect in 12 chances at shortstop last week.

Megan rigos, Marist
Senior, LHP, 6-0, Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon
Rigos went 1-1 on the week for the Red Foxes. She had 19 strikeouts and a 1.62 ERA in 13.0 innings of work, and gave up 11 hits and three runs in her two appearances. In the Red Foxes’ 2-1 win over Yale, Rigos pitched her eighth complete game of the season, recording 10 strikeouts in the win. On the week, she had a 19-to-1 strikeout/walk ratio.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Amanda Centeno, Rider
Freshman, UT, 5-4, Ventura, Calif./Buena
Centeno batted .667 (8-12) in four games last week for Rider at the Rebel Spring Games. She had hits in all four games that she played before being injured. Centeno was 3-for-3 with two RBI against Wagner, and also had two hits each against Colgate and Rhode Island. She also had a 1.000 fielding percentage with 11 put outs and four assists in 15 chances.
