MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
ADAM JONES,
CANISIUS
M, Fr., 5-10, Owen Sound, Ontario/St. Mary’s
Jones totaled 11 points on
seven goals and four assists in two games this week to help the Griffs extend
their school-record winning streak to six games. In Canisius’ overtime victory
over Robert Morris, Jones set career highs with seven points, four goals and
three assists. Jones’ third assist of the game came on the game-winning score
in overtime. In the Griffs’ 16-8 victory over Wagner, Jones recorded four
points on three goals and one assist and also added three caused turnovers and
one ground ball.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
ROBERT BRYAN, PROVIDENCE
G, Jr., 5-7, Apex,

Bryan led the Friars to their fifth-straight league victory
with a 5-4 win over St. Joseph’s on April 12 in Philadelphia, Pa. St. Joseph’s
outshot the Friars, 28-17, in the game, but Bryan posted a career-high 13 saves
and picked up a game-high five goundballs to secure the victory. It marked the
fifth-straight game that Bryan
has held his opponent to five goals or less in a game.
MAAC Rookie of the Week

A, Fr., 6-2, Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park
Michael helped lead the Griffs to a 2-0 week and
extend the school-record winning streak to six games. In the Griffs overtime
victory over Robert Morris, Michael netted two goals, including the
game-winning score in overtime. He followed it with a career-best four points
in his first career start against Wagner. Michael tallied three goals and an
assist in 16-8 victory.
