Edison, NJ-Manhattan's Marina Vojinovic was named MAAC Women's Track and Field Performer of the Week, while Iona's Joe Parks and Manhattan's Seid Mujanivic split the Men's weekly honor.

Vojinovic, a freshman from Serbia, qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the women’s shot put with a school record mark of 15.08m. She bested the old school record by six inches. Vojinovic accomplished this at the John Jacobs Invitational held at the University of Oklahoma this past weekend. Vujinovic now joins four other Jaspers who had qualified earlier this season for the NCAA Regionals -- triple jumper Dexter Jules, hammer throwers Seid Mujanovic and Paul Peulich and javelin thrower Kosta Randjic.

Sophomore Joe Parks (Deer Park, N.Y.) finished second overall in the 3000-meter run at the Quinnipiac Invitational. Parks' time of 8:33.98 came three seconds behind the race winner. Pizzonia crossed just behind his teammate with a time of 8:34.54. He continued his stellar spring a week after dominating the 10,000-meter event at the Colonial Relays.

Manhattan sophomore Seid Mujanovic (Travankut, Serbia) improved his NCAA qualifying mark in the hammer throw with a second place toss of 61.74 at the John Jacobs Invitational held at the University of Oklahoma this past weekend.

The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track Championships will be held on Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th at Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J.
