Day Two of 2008 MAAC Softball Championship Moved to Fairfield University

Stratford, Conn. - Due to poor field conditions at DeLuca Field, the second day of games for the 2008 MAAC Softball Championship have been moved to Fairfield University.
Game 3 featuring top-seeded Canisius College and third-seeded Fairfield University is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, followed by second-seeded Niagara University versus fourth-seeded Marist College at 1:30 p.m. An elimination game between the loser of Game 3 and the winner of Game 4 is slated for 3:30 p.m.
Both fields will be reviewed before selecting a site for the championship round. Game 6 will be played on Sunday, May 11 at 12:00 p.m. If Game 7 is necessary, it will take place at 2:00 p.m.
The winner of the 2008 MAAC Softball Championship earns the league’s automatic bid to the 2008 NCAA Division I Softball Championship.
