Ryan Masters, manhattan
Junior, INF, 5-11/183, Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Springs Charter
Masters posted a .533 (8-for-15) batting average, tallied two doubles and drove in five RBIs en route to a series sweep at Fairfield last weekend and to Manhattan claiming a share of the program’s first regular-season title.
Kevin Kallert, Saint Peter’s
Senior, OF/P, 6-3/230, Weehawken, N.J./Weehawken
Kallert ended his college career by going 4-for-8 with two runs scored, four RBI, a double, a homer and three walks in his final three games as a Peacock. He also pitched against Monmouth, going six innings and allowing just one run on six hits while striking out four and was credited no decision.
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
Craig Chaput, Siena
Junior, RHP, 6-1/215, Ottawa, Ontario/Hillcrest
Chaput won his third straight decision, helping the Saints clinch a spot in the MAAC Championship for the first time since 2005. He pitched 7.1 innings, and allowed just six hits and one run ? an eighth inning solo home run. Chaput struck out seven and walked just two. He has allowed just three earned runs in his last 30.1 innings of work entering the championship.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Shane Davis, Canisius
Freshman, LHP, 6-0/198, Belmont, Ontario/East Elgin Secondary
Davis closed out the regular-season with his 11th victory and ninth consecutive complete game in the team’s 2-1 victory over Niagara May 15. He yielded five hits, one unearned run and zero walks while striking out four.
