Loyola's Heibell and Fairfield's Tehan Named Runners of the Week

Edison, NJ ? Loyola’s Chris Heibell and Fairfield’s Lauren Tehan were named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week.
Heibell, a senior from Hillsborough, NJ, led Loyola to a sixth-place finish at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, MD, which had a field of 14 teams and 117 runners. Heibell placed 11th, clocking a time of 25:25.90.
Tehan, a freshman from Portland, OR, was the first Stag to cross the line for the second straight meet with a time of 19:55.65 on the challenging 5K course at the Fairfield Invitational. Tehan placed 16th overall at the event.
The 2008 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held on November 1st at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
