Gonzalez and Seguine Named MAAC Runners of the Week

Edison, NJ ? Rider’s Christian Gonzalez and Siena’s Brina Seguine were named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week.

Gonzalez, a sophomore from Somerset, NJ, finished first for the Broncs and 19th overall among the 176 runners. He covered the five mile course in 27:36. Gonzalez missed the Fordham Invitational last season.

Seguine, a sophomore from Rensselaer, NY, finished with a time of 19:15 to place third overall in the three mile race. Siena came in fifth at the 13 team Saint Rose Golden Knights Joust in Colonie, N.Y.

The 2008 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held on November 1st at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
