Sweet Sixteen Girls' Basketball Clinics

Edison, N.J. ? The Mercer County Sports & Entertainment Commission partnership with the MAAC, Rider University and Seton Hall University continues with the second of two girl’s basketball clinics, January 25 at Rider University.
Girls in grades six through eight are invited to participate in the event, which includes a two-hour skills clinic followed by a women's basketball game featuring the host Rider taking on MAAC foe Siena College. Additionally, clinic attendees will receive a ticket discount coupon for tickets to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen ? taking place Sunday, March 29 and Tuesday, March 31 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ.
Rider University will host the second clinic from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on January 25, 2009. Head women's basketball coach Lynn Milligan and her Rider squad will make an appearance. Following the clinic at 2:00 p.m., the Broncs will play host to the Siena Saints.
The first clinic, which took place on the campus of Seton Hall, was a rousing success, attended by over 40 girls in grades six through eight. Following the clinic, attendees were treated to an exciting Big East match-up between the Seton Hall Pirates and the Marquette Golden Eagles.
All participants for the clinic will receive a t-shirt, tickets to the game, and a ticket discount coupon for tickets to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen ? taking place Sunday, March 29 and Tuesday, March 31 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ.
