Manhattan to Host Loyola on January 16 on ESPNU

Edison, N.J. ? The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continues its 2008-09 MAAC Basketball Television Schedule with Manhattan College hosting Loyola College on Friday, January 16. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m., and will air live on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.
Loyola, 6-12 overall and 1-5 in the MAAC, is led by sophomore guard Jamal Barney, who is contributing 18.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, and junior guard Brett Harvey, who is posting 13.4 points and 2.6 assists an outing for the Greyhounds.
Manhattan, 9-7 overall and 3-3 in the MAAC, is led by sophomore guard Chris Smith, who is registering 14.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, and junior guard Darryl Crawford, who is averaging 11.4 points and 4.8 caroms an outing for the Jaspers.
This contest marks the 45th meeting between the two programs. Last year, Loyola won both games against Manhattan with a 77-54 win at Reitz Arena on December 9, 2007 and a 79-60 win at Draddy Gymnasium on January 26, 2008. The Jaspers hold a 29-15 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools.
