MAAC Player of the Week

BAENDU LOWENTHAL, FAIRFIELD

Senior, Forward, 5-11, Riverside, NJ/Riverside

 

Lowenthal averaged 18.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in three games on the week for the Stags. She shot 66.7 percent, 24-36, from the field, 50 percent, 2-4, from behind the arc, and 85.7 percent from the line, 6-7 in three road games. She also dished out 10 assists, with four at Niagara, and had a positive assist-to-turnover ratio, 10-9, for the week. Lowenthal had her third double-double of the year, 20-points and 12-rebounds, at Niagara, shooting 7-9 from the field and 6-6 from the line. She scored 21 points, hitting 10-15 from the field at Canisius, to go along with nine rebounds, and tallied 15 points, five boards, three assists and three steals at Iona. Lowenthal  finished the week with five steals.

SARAH HOMAN, RIDER

Freshman, Center, 6-3, Upper Darby, PA/Delco Christian

 

The 6-3 Homan led Rider to a 3-0 week averaging 5.7 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game while blocking 10 shots in the three games. Against Penn, Homan had six points and eight rebounds with four blocks in only 14 minutes of play. In Rider’s win against Loyola, Homan, in 17 minutes, blocked three shots and collected nine rebounds and in the Bronc win at Iona, Homan played a career-high 29 minutes with nine points and a career-high 14 rebounds (five offensive) while blocking three shots.
