MAAC Announces 2009-2010 Sports Committees

Edison, N.J. ? The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has finalized the sport committees for the 2009-2010 season.
“The revised sport committee composition and mission was developed as part of the MAAC's recently completed strategic planning process and the work of the governance subcommittee,” Richard J. Ensor, Commissioner of the MAAC, said. “It is designed to have each athletic director or senior woman administrator chair a sport committee. The remainder of the 5-person committees are composed of a diverse group of administrators and coaches with generally no more than one individual per member school on a committee. It is designed to open up the committee process to more middle management administrators and the coaches as the league seeks new expertise and guidance from the membership of the conference. One of the two coaches on the committee will serve as chair of the coaches group for the sport and he or she will seek the input of the coaches into the regular season and post-season operations of the sport in the MAAC and the NCAA.”
