Siena to Host Niagara on January 24 on MSG Network

Edison, N.J. ? The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continues its 2008-09 MAAC Basketball Television Schedule with Siena College hosting Niagara University on Saturday, January 24. Game time is slated for 12:00 p.m. at the Times Union Center, and it will air live on the MSG Network.
Niagara is currently 14-5 overall and 5-2 in the MAAC. The Purple Eagles are led by junior guard Tyrone Lewis, who is averaging 16.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, and junior guard/forward Bilal Benn, who is registering 13.8 points and a league-best 9.6 rebounds a night.
Siena is now 14-5 overall and 8-0 in league play. The Saints are led by junior guard/forward Edwin Ubiles, who is averaging 14.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, and junior forward Alex Franklin, who is registering 13.2 points and 6.9 rebounds a night.
This contest marks the 78th meeting between the two programs. The Saints won both meetings last season with a 94-84 win at the Gallagher Center on January 11 and a 94-78 victory at the Times Union Center on February 29. The Saints hold a 40-37 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools.
