MARIE WARNER, CANISIUS
Senior, Forward, 5-11, Hamilton, Ontario/Westdale
Warner led Canisius last
week with consecutive double-doubles, averaging 26 points and 12 rebounds in
two Golden Griffin road victories. The senior had 24 points and a career-high
13 rebounds in the win at Rider. Warner followed up that performance with a career-high
28 points and 11 rebounds in the win at Loyola, which included 18 first-half
points against the Greyhounds. Warner has four consecutive double-doubles, the
most since J?nel Stevens had five straight during the 2003-04 season.
BAENDU LOWENTHAL, FAIRFIELD
Senior, Forward, 5-11, Riverside, NJ/Riverside
Lowenthal led the Stags to a
2-0 week averaging 20.5 points and 9.0 rebounds. She shot 58.1 percent from the
field on the week (18-31) and 50 percent from behind the arc. In the Stags win
at #20 Marist, Lowenthal shot 8-14 from the field and 4-4 from the line, for a
team-high 21 points. She also hauled in 10 rebounds, for her fourth
double-double of the season. Lowenthal had 20 points against Manhattan, her
fourth consecutive 20+ point game, shooting 10-17 from the field. She had eight
rebounds and one assist in the contest.

Rookie of the Week
KRISTINA FORD, IONA
Freshman, Forward, 6-1, Fresh Meadows, NY/Notre Dame Prep
Ford averaged 20.5 points,
five rebounds, two steals, and 0.5 blocks in 29.5 minutes per game in a 2-0
week for Iona. In a Friday night win over Loyola, she posted a career-high 24
points to lead all players in addition to her seven rebounds and one steal.
Ford followed with a team-leading 17 points on Sunday in the Gaels’ victory
over Niagara, adding five boards, three steals and a block. After the Purple
Eagles tied the game with 4:25 remaining, it was Ford’s three-point field goal
that put Iona in the lead for the final time.
