Two MAAC Men's Basketball Games This Weekend on ESPNU

Edison, N.J. ? The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continues its 2008-09 MAAC Basketball Television Schedule this weekend with two men’s basketball contests on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.
The first game features Loyola College at Rider University on Friday, January 30 at 9:00 p.m. Loyola, 5-5 in the MAAC, is led by sophomore guard Jamal Barney, who is registering a league-best 18.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, and junior guard Brett Harvey, who is averaging 13.5 points and 2.4 boards an outing for the Greyhounds. Rider, 6-3 in the MAAC, is led by junior guard Ryan Thompson, who is contributing 17.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, and senior guard Harris Mansell, who is posting 12.4 points and 3.8 rebounds an outing for the Broncs.
Game two has Saint Peter’s College taking on host Iona College on Saturday, January 31 for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off. Saint Peter’s, 2-8 in the MAAC, is led by sophomore guard Wesley Jenkins, who is registering 15.1 points and 4.2 rebounds a night, and sophomore guard Nick Leon, who is contributing 15.1 points and 2.4 caroms a night for the Peacocks. Iona, 5-5 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward/center Gary Springer, who is averaging 11.9 points and 6.6 rebounds an outing, and freshman guard Scott Machado, who is netting 9.8 points and dishing out 4.6 assists a night for the Gaels.
