Girls in the Game Begins This Friday

Edison, NJ - The first component of the MAAC Girls in the Game program takes place this Friday at 4:30 p.m. when the Siena Saints women’s basketball team takes on the Rider University Broncs at the Times Union Center in Albany. The program is open to girls in grades 4-8. For $10, participants receive admission to three women’s basketball contests as well as a clinic presented by the Siena women’s basketball team. Walk-ups are welcome.
The next event in the Girls in the Game series comes on Friday, January 16 at the Alumni Recreation Center on the campus of Siena College, with the host Saints squaring off against the Iona College Gaels at 7:00 p.m.
On Sunday, January 18 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. the Siena women’s basketball team will present the Girls in the Game Clinic on UHY Court at the Alumni Recreation Center. Coaches and players from the Siena women’s basketball team will be on hand to provide tips, hints, and advice for area girls.
The pinnacle of the Girls in the Game program is the MAAC Women’s Basketball Championship game, slated for a 12:00 p.m. start on Sunday, March 8th at the Times Union Center.

here. The registration form and fee can also be brought to the Siena College Ticket Office during regular business hours this week.
