MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
SYLVIA KOWALSKI, CANISIUS
F, Sr., 5-6, Hamilton, Ontario/Cathedral
Kowalski, a senior forward, registered one goal and three assists for five points in a 2-0-1 week for the Golden Griffins. She posted a goal and an assist in Canisius' 4-3 win over Iona. Kowalski also tallied two assists in Canisius' 4-0 shutout over Cleveland State.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
BRITTANY HENDERSON, LOYOLA
GK, Sr., 5-9, Commack, N.Y./Commack
Henderson, a senior goalkeeper, concluded the regular season with a pair of 1-0 shutout victories over Manhattan and Saint Peter's. She combined for four saves in the two games in 184:04 minutes. Henderson has nine shutouts this season, six in conference play and 25 in her career. She ranks second all-time at Loyola with 296 saves and 25 shutouts and she allowed just one goal in the entire month of October thus far. Since the start of her sophomore season, she has allowed just three goals in the month of October for a 0.14 goals against average.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
BROOKE BANDAZIAN, CANISIUS
F, Fr., 5-10, Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo
Bandazian, a freshman forward, netted two goals in the final week of regular season play for the Griffs. She scored her first collegiate goal in Friday's 4-3 win over Iona, knocking in the game winner at the 33rd minute. Bandazian then scored the lone goal in the Griffs' 1-1 double overtime tie with Fairfield on Sunday.
