MAAC Begins 2009-2010 Men's Basketball Season This Weekend

Edison, N.J. - The MAAC will begin its 2009-2010 men's basketball season this weekend, starting with seven games on Friday, November 13.

Loyola University Maryland will host the University of Vermont at 7:00 p.m. at Reitz Arena.  Saint Peter's College will face Seton Hall University at 7:00 p.m. at the Prudential Center.  Fairfield University will host Central Connecticut State University for a 7:30 tip at the Arena at Harbor Yard as part of the Connecticut 6 Classic.  Iona College is set to take on Boston University at 7:30 p.m. at the Hynes Athletics Center.  Niagara University opens up at Auburn University at 8:00 p.m.  Tennessee State University will host Siena College for an 8:00 p.m. game, while Rider University will take on host Mississippi State University at 9:00 p.m.

Two more MAAC schools will play on Saturday, November 14.  Marist College will travel to Piscataway, N.J. to take on Rutgers University at 2:00 p.m., while Manhattan College will host the New Jersey Institute of Technology at Draddy Gymnasium, also at 2:00 p.m.

Rounding out the weekend are two games on Sunday, November 15.  Loyola will take on host West Virginia University at 4:00 p.m., and Fairfield will host Fordham University for a 7:00 p.m. contest at the Arena at Harbor Yard.
