Edison, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Van Wagner Dorna U.S.A., LLC (Dorna) have agreed to a three-year partnership, which includes a 40-foot rotational signage system for nine MAAC institutions, as well as the Times Union Center in Albany, NY and the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, CT.  Dorna will also help develop new advertisers for the courtside signage platform.

In the past, the MAAC used a single 40-foot Dorna system for each basketball “Game of the Week” broadcast and for the MAAC Basketball Championships.  For the next three years, MAAC member schools will have full access to their own Dorna system for every home volleyball and basketball contest.

“The MAAC and its institutions are excited about the new partnership with Dorna and the branding opportunities that come with it for league and school sponsors,” said Rich Ensor, Commissioner of the MAAC.  “I would suggest it is a unique opportunity where a league and its member schools have joined forces in such a uniform manner to bring added value to all parties.  It is an example of how mutual goals can be achieved within a conference setting.”

Van Wagner Dorna is equally delighted to have its systems used throughout the Northeast.

“This is an ideal extension of our long-standing relationship with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference,” said John Haegele, CEO of Van Wagner Dorna U.S.A.  “Dorna is proud to work more closely with the MAAC and its member institutions by providing our highly effective signage platforms and related sales resources.  I applaud Rich Ensor’s leadership and strategic thinking in creating additional revenue platforms and marketing partnerships for the conference and its schools.”

The MAAC would like to send a special thanks to Michelle McNamara, Production Manager at Van Wagner Dorna, for her efforts in producing the Dorna signage for the MAAC and its institutions.
