MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

BURGANDY McCURTY, SIENA

OH/MB, Sr., 5-9, Port Washington, NY/Schreiber

McCurty averaged 5.1 kills, 2.4 digs and had three aces in a perfect 2-0 week for the Saints.  She dominated Siena's match with Fairfield, recording a match-high 21 kills, including several key finishes late in the match.  McCurty rounded out her week with her eighth double-double of the season in a 3-0 win over Saint Peter's.  She hit .333 for the week, returning to the middle of the rotation for the first time in weeks and collected three service aces. McCurty leads the nation in kills, points, kills per set and points per set.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

ALLISON NIETERS, IONA

OH/L, Jr., 5-9, St. Charles, MO/Lutheran

Nieters continuted her torrid defensive streak with 41 digs in seven sets (5.86/set) and a perfect 33-for-33 of serve receptions in the Gaels two wins. At Saint Peter's on Saturday, Nieters recorded 27 digs, four shy of a school record for a three-set match. She currently is six digs shy of becoming the second player in MAAC history to record 2,000 digs (Jess Stackhouse, Canisius, 2,095).

MAAC Rookie of the Week

SARAH SIVERTSON, SIENA

S/OH, Fr., 5-11, Tyler, TX/Robert E. Lee

Sivertson was moved to the outside where she was a huge difference maker in a perfect week for the Saints.  She had 15 kills and five digs, posting a .214 attack percentage in Siena's 3-1 win over Faifield and finished the week with 10 kills in the 3-0 win over Saint Peter's.  She averaged 3.57 kills per set on the week, tallied two aces and one block.
