Poughkeepsie, NY- Members of several Marist athletics teams participated in the 2009 Hunger Walk on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 on the Hudson River Valley campus. The event is one of five during the Hunger Awareness month, all sponsored by the Marist Campus Ministry. The programs that participated included women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, women's cross country and track and field, women's tennis, football, water polo and men's and women's lacrosse. Over 400 people participated in the event. It was wonderful to see the number of student-athletes participate in the Hunger Walk as it relates to a larger series of events on campus.
