Two Loyola Players Named 2009 ECAC Division I Men's Soccer All-Stars

Cape Cod, Mass. - Jamie Darvill and Tennant McVea from Loyola University Maryland were named
to the 2009 ECAC Division I Men's Soccer All-Star Second Team.

This season, Darvill was named the MAAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season, while McVea earned the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year award for the third consecutive year.

University of Maryland Baltimore County junior midfielder Levi Houapeu was chosen the 2009 ECAC Division I Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year after accumulating 43 points during the 2009 season. He tallied 15 goals, 13 assists and three game-winning goals for the Retrievers this season. While leading UMBC to a 14-6 record, Houapeu was also named America East Midfielder of the
Year.

Daniel Bostock of Monmouth University received the honor of 2009 ECAC Division I Defensive Player of the Year. The senior back has started 54 consecutive matches, helping MU capture 13 shutouts this season. Bostock has helped the MU defensive unit lead the nation in goals against average with 0.33 per game and rank second in the nation in team save percentage (.891).

Earning the ECAC Division I Rookie of the Year honor was Dominic Reinold from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Reinold scored 12 goals for the Knights this season, including three game winners. During his freshman campaign, he tallied four assists and 28 points.

About the ECAC®
