BRETT HARVEY, LOYOLA
Senior, Guard, 6-1, 175, New City, N.Y./Clarkstown North
Harvey, a senior guard, led the Greyhounds to a 72-67 upset victory at Indiana. He scored nine of his game-high 25 points as Loyola outscored the Hoosiers 10-2 over the final 3:48. Harvey returned the lead in the Greyhounds' favor with his second four-point play of the half and iced the game with a pair of free throw. He shot 63.6 percent (7-11) from the field, including making three of his five three-point tries, and 88.9 percent (8-9) from the free-throw line. Harvey also added a game-high five assists with four rebounds and a steal in just 29 minutes.
ALEX FRANKLIN, SIENA
Senior, Forward, 6-5, 226, Reading, Pa./Central Catholic
Franklin, a senior forward, had a dominating performance in Siena's 84-62 victory over Rider on Wednesday in the Saints' lone game of the holiday week. The Reading, Pa. native tied his season-high with 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting and added 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Franklin also added two steals and two assists in the contest.
MAAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
RASHARD MCGILL, IONA
Freshman, Guard, 6-5, 205, Havana, Fla./Massanutten Military Academy
McGill, a freshman guard, averaged 11.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per game off the bench in the Gaels' 1-1 week vs. Fairleigh Dickinson and No. 11 Connecticut. After his first collegiate double-digit point effort of the season vs. FDU on Wednesday with 11 points, McGill upped his career-high with 12 against the nationally ranked Huskies on Sunday. He shot 45.0% from the field (9-for-20) and drained three three-point field goals in the two games.
