Fitz led Marist
in both scoring and rebounding this week as the Red Foxes won road games at
Fairfield and Hartford. The junior had 17 points and seven rebounds in Marist’s
64-52 win over the Stags on Thursday night. She followed that up with 27 points
and 12 rebounds as the Red Foxes ended Hartford’s 34-game home court winning
streak, 78-73, in overtime on Sunday. Fitz was 8-for-12 from the field and
11-of-13 at the free throw line. For the week, Fitz averaged 22 points and 9.5
rebounds per game. She shot 53.8% from the field and 84.2% from the free throw
line.

Rookie of the Week
LINDSEY LOUTSENHIZER,

Freshman, Forward, 6-0, North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin
Loutsenhizer averaged 12.7
points and 10.7 rebounds while shooting .538 from the field and 1.000 from the
free throw line in three games last week.
Against Iona on Monday, Loutsenhizer grabbed 11 rebounds to go along
with nine points, two assists and two steals.
In the 71-55 victory at Rider on Friday night, she recorded her first
career double-double, posting career-highs with 19 points and 13 rebounds,
while adding a career-high three assists in 30 minutes off the bench. She went 7-for-13 from the field, including a
perfect 2-for-2 from three-point range, and 3-for-3 at the free throw line in
that game. To finish off the week,
Loutsenhizer had 10 points and eight boards in the 60-54 victory over Loyola on
Sunday.
