Saint Peter's Hosts MAAC Basketball Doubleheader on Presidents Day

Edison, N.J. ? The Yanitelli Center on the campus of Saint Peter’s College will be the site for the next televised MAAC men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader this season on Monday, February 16. Both games will air on the MSG Network.
The first game of the twin bill will feature a match-up between the women’s programs from Canisius College and Saint Peter’s at 6:00 p.m. Canisius, 11-3 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Marie Warner, who is registering 16.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, and junior guard Brittan? Russell, who is averaging 11.3 points and 3.3 caroms a night for the Golden Griffins. Saint Peter’s, 7-7 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Tania Kennedy, who is contributing 13.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, and freshman guard Sakara House, who is posting 7.5 points and 3.6 rebounds an outing for the Peahens.
Game two has the Marist College men’s team taking on host Saint Peter’s for an 8:00 p.m. tip-off. Marist, 4-11 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Ryan Schneider, who is averaging 16.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, as well as junior guard David Devezin, who is contributing 10.6 points and 4.3 assists an outing for the Red Foxes. Saint Peter’s, 5-10 in the MAAC, is led by sophomore guard Wesley Jenkins, who is averaging 15.3 points along with 4.3 rebounds an outing, and sophomore guard Nick Leon, who is netting 15.2 points and pulling down 2.7 boards a night for the Peacocks.
