White led the
Stags to a season opening win over Monmouth, tallying six points. She scored a
team-high four goals and dished out a team-best two assists. White had two
goals in each half, with the game-winner coming with 3:22 to play in the
first-half. She also added three draw controls and three ground balls.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
LAUREN
CHATNIK, FAIRFIELD
GK, Sr., 5-6,
Schenectady, NY/Guilderland
Chatnik became the school’s all-time saves leader in
the season-opening win, making eight and giving her 372 for her career. The win
was also the 30th of her career, a school-record. She made four
saves in each period and also recorded a ground ball.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
MEGAN OOSTING,
CANISIUS
M, Fr., 5-7,
Lakefield, Ontario/Lakefield District
Oosting recorded four points, three goals, one assist,
seven ground balls, six caused turnovers and one draw control to begin her
collegiate career. In the Griffs’ 20-1 victory over Fresno State, she tallied
her first career hat trick and also added three caused turnovers. Against No.
19 Denver, she picked up a season-best four ground balls.
