Mujanovic, Kajunski Win Indoor Track Weekly Awards

Edison, N.J. ? Manhattan College’s Seid Mujanovic was selected as the MAAC Indoor Track Men’s Performer of the Week, while Kelly Kajunski of Rider University earned Women’s Performer of the Week honors.
Mujanovic, a junior from Travankut, Serbia, won the weight throw at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships, which took place at the Armory, and took fourth place at the prestigious Millrose Games, held at Madison Square Garden. At the “Mets,” Mujanovic took first place with a personal record and IC4A qualifying mark of 19.17 meters. He netted his fourth place finish at the Millrose Games with a throw that measured 18.65 meters. This marks the fourth consecutive week that an athlete from Manhattan has garnered MAAC Performer of the Week honors.
Kajunski, a senior from Glenmore, Pa., won the high jump at Delaware’s Thomson Invitational with an ECAC qualifying height of 5’7,” which ties the top mark in the MAAC this season. This is the second time this season Kajunski received the Performer of the Week accolade. She was also named the MAAC Most Outstanding Performer for Field Events at the conclusion of the 2008 MAAC Outdoor Track Championships.
The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track Championships will be held on Friday, February 20th at The Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
