Mark Onorati, Manhattan
Sophomore, OF, 5-10/170, Williston Park, N.Y./Herricks
Onorati drove in 10 RBI, blasted two home runs and hit .500 (8-16) over a four-game set at Delaware this past weekend. He posted a .938 slugging percentage, was 2-for-2 in stolen base opportunities and was flawless in the field (1.000 fielding percentage).
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
Rob gariano, Fairfield
Junior, RHP, 5-10/180, Nutley, N.J./Nutley
Gariano picked up the win for the Stags in the 11-3 victory over Maine on March 6, scattering one run, a walk, and six hits over 6.0 innings while striking out six batters. He held Maine scoreless through 4.1 innings and after allowing the run, retired the next eight batters. On the season, Gariano is 1-1 with a 5.23 ERA and has struck out 10 batters in 10.1 innings.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Brian Koster, Saint Peter’s
Freshman, INF, 6-0/198, Franklin Park, N.J./St. Joe’s Metuchen
Koster hit 10-for-15 this weekend, driving in six runs and getting a hit in each of the Peacocks’ four games this weekend. He drove in three runs in Saint Peter’s series opening victory against Longwood University. For the series, Koster walked twice and did not strike out.
