Garland totaled
nine goals in two wins over Davidson and Presbyterian as the Red Foxes improved
to 5-1 on the season. She also filled the stat sheet with four ground balls
against the Blue Hose and seven draw controls (three vs. Davidson, four vs.
Presbyterian). Against the Wildcats, Garland scored three of her four goals
during an 8-0 second half run to overcome a 6-2 halftime deficit. In Marist’s
second matchup of the week, Garland netted four first half goals to help the
Red Foxes to a 13-1 halftime lead. She scored three of the first six goals of
the game.

KELSEY THOMS,
MARIST
G, Fr., 5-5,
Newark, NY/Newark
Thoms posted both wins in goal for Marist as the squad
improved to 5-1 on the season, matching the programs longest win streak of
three games. She made 15 saves en route to a .517 save percentage on the week.
She let up a season low in goals in the win against Presbyterian, which was
also the fewest goals given up by a Red Foxes’ goalie since April 18, 2008
against Niagara, a 19-2 Marist win. She has been in goal for all of Marist’s
wins this season.

KRISTIN CONCORDIA,

Webster, NY/Webster Thomas
Concordia made seven saves to earn her fifth win of
the season. She stopped three shots in the first five minutes to keep the game
scoreless. Concordia faced 16 shots in the game, allowing just seven goals. The
seven goals against matched her career best.
