Edison, N.J. ? Ticket applications are now available for the 2010 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship First & Second Rounds, to be held March 19 and 21 at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY.

All-session tickets are priced at $219.00. The tickets are good for two sessions on Friday, March 19 and one session on Sunday, March 21. Each session will consist of two games. Exact game times and matchups will be announced by the NCAA during the week of the competition. The general public can obtain the ticket application by logging onto www.ncaa.com/mbbtickets or www.hsbcarena.com.

“The MAAC, Canisius College, Niagara University, and HSBC Arena look forward to hosting another successful NCAA event in Buffalo,” Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Commissioner Rich Ensor said. “Fans from the area and throughout the country will have an opportunity to be a part of March Madness.”

Ticket applications will be accepted from Monday, March 30, 2009 to Friday, May 1 2009. Applications will be fulfilled in the order in which they are received unless demand warrants the need for a random-selection process.

In the case of a random-selection process, applicants will be notified whether their offer to purchase tickets was accepted in early May. If tickets remain available following the ticket application window, sales will resume on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The MAAC, Canisius and Niagara hosted first-and second-round games in 2000, 2004 and 2007 at HSBC Arena. Notable teams such as 2004 NCAA National Champion UConn (2007), Indiana (2000), Duke (2007), Pittsburgh (2007) and Maryland (2007) were assigned to Buffalo for those events. All nine sessions hosted in those years sold out through the ticket application process. The trio also hosted the 2003 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four to sellout crowds.
