Field Set for 2009 MAAC Tennis Championships

Edison, NJ - The field is set for the 2009 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships, held April 17 - 19 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
Earning the top seed on the men's side is Fairfield University, last season’s runner-up. The Stags finished regular season conference play with a perfect record of 6-0. Defending champion Marist College earned the #2 seed, finishing the regular season 5-1.
On the women's side, Niagara University had an unblemished conference mark of 7-0 to earn the top seed. Defending champion Marist earned the #4 seed.
The championship is scheduled to begin on Friday, starting with women's action at 9:00 a.m. and will continue through Sunday.
