White, Chatnik, and Gutenberger Named Players of the Week

MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

 

REBECCA WHITE, FAIRFIELD

M, Sr., 5-7, Spring Lake, NJ/St. Rose

 

White tallied 11 goals and had two assists as she helped lead the Stags to a 3-0 week and their second consecutive MAAC Regular Season title. She averaged 3.5 goals a game in the league wins over Canisius and Niagara. White touched net four times against Canisius and also picked up four ground balls and had three draw controls in that win. She netted a team-best four points, with three goals, in the senior day win over Niagara and netted four goals and had an assist in a non-league win over LIU. White finished the week with seven ground balls and six draw controls.

 

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

 

LAUREN CHATNIK, FAIRFIELD

GK, Sr., 5-4, Schenectady, NY/Guilderland

 

Chatnik picked up three more wins this week, posting 28 saves and a .596 save percentage. She played 157:55 in the three games, starting them all, and had a GAA of 7.22, allowing just six goals in wins over LIU and Niagara. Chatnik had double-digit saves against LIU and Canisius, with a season-high 15 saves in the win over the Griffs.

 

MAAC Rookie of the Week

 

CHRISSY GUTENBERGER, MANHATTAN

M, Fr., 5-6, Stony Point, NY/North Rockland

 

Gutenberger had an outstanding week as the Lady Jaspers won all three games they played. She scored a total of 12 goals and adding 6 assists for 18 points overall. She also had an impressive total of 11 ground balls, 9 caused turnovers and 3 draw controls. In a 21-11 win over Saint Francis (Pa.), she had 5 goals, and 3 assists. In a 16-12 win over Siena, she had 3 goals and 3 assists. In the 10-6 win over CCSU, she had 4 goals and 6 caused turnovers.
