Jessica Green, marist
Senior, 1B, 5-7, Manassas, Va./Stonewall Jackson
Green hit .571 (8-for-14) this week as Marist went 3-1 to lift their MAAC record to 7-5, good for a third-place tie with Canisius. She scored six runs on the weekend, all of which came in Marist victories, while driving in four others. Green had three extra base hits at Saint Peter’s on Saturday (one double, one home run) en route to a 6-for-9 day at the plate. She had a perfect week defensively, with 33 put outs and five assists at first base.
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
Ericka Sullivan, Manhattan
Sophomore, P/IF, 5-4, Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore
Sullivan went 3-1 with a 1.02 ERA in five appearances last week. She earned her first win of the season against Columbia after giving up just two runs (one earned) and five hits over five innings in a 6-2 Manhattan victory. Against Siena on Saturday, Sullivan picked up both wins in the Lady Jaspers’ doubleheader sweep. She entered game one with one out in the top of the sixth and Manhattan trailing 5-2. Sullivan struck out the first two batters she faced to end the inning, then retired the Saints 1-2-3 in the seventh after Manhattan took the lead with a five-run sixth. In game two, she pitched a complete game six-hitter and struck out four.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Kayla Marth, Fairfield
Freshman, C, Easton, Md./Easton
Marth batted a team-best .571 over seven games last week with three RBI and three doubles. She owned a .714 slugging percentage and a .625 on-base percentage. Marth stroked 12 hits and scored six runs over the seven-game stretch. She had at least one hit in six of the seven games, including five multiple-hit contests. In MAAC play, Marth batted .417 (five hits, 12 at-bats) with four runs scored in four games.
