MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

Peterson had a tremendous weekend as Iona went 3-1 and
claimed a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship and the number one seed
in the MAAC Championships. Peterson scored 12 goals over the weekend, including
five against Siena and four against Marist in the title clinching game. She
also added three kickouts drawn, a field block, and two steals. She leads the
team with 57 goals this season.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
KELSEY RODGERS,
WAGNER
GK, Jr., Anaheim
Hills, CA/Fullerton JC
Rodgers competed in 14 of 16 quarters over the weekend
and registered 57 total saves. She was
dominant in net against Iona, stopping 19 shots in the win. Her 19 saves is the
second-highest total this season. Rodgers made 21 saves in a 10-7 loss to
Maryland on February 22nd. She responded
with her third highest save total of the season (18) in win over St. Francis
NY. Rodgers also had four steals this
weekend.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
SARA OLGUIN, WAGNER
C, Fr., Whittier,
CA/Sonora
Olguin led the Seahawks in scoring this weekend. This included two goals against Iona in game
one to secure a 7-5 win and a share of the MAAC Regular Season
Championship. Olguin was one of two
players to register four goals and an assist in win over Villanova. In that contest she also had a TO, 2 KO’s
Drawn, and a Field Block. In addition to
her three goals and two assist on day, Olguin also had four take aways. She
shot .375 for the weekend (9 for 24).
