MAAC Announces 2009 Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team

Edison, N.J.   A total of 66 student-athletes make up the 2009 MAAC Women’s Lacrosse All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

 

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.  Iona College led all schools with 15 student-athletes making the team.  Marist College had 12 athletes, followed by Fairfield University with 10.  Nine student athletes earned spots on the team from Manhattan College.  Niagara University claimed eight spots on the team, while Canisius College added seven players.  Siena College rounded out the team with five.
