Field Set For 2009 MAAC Women's Water Polo Championship

Edison, N.J. ? The field is set for the 2009 MAAC Women’s Water Polo Championship, which will be held April 25-26 at the McCann Natatorium on the campus of Marist College.
Top-seeded Iona College will take on fourth-seeded St. Francis (N.Y.) College in the first semifinal game, scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 25. Second-seeded Wagner College will face third-seeded Marist in the second semifinal at 3:00 pm. On Sunday, April 26, there will be a consolation game scheduled for noon, followed by the championship game at 2:00 pm. All four matches can be seen live on www.maacsports.com.
The winner of the 2009 MAAC Women’s Water Polo Championship will receive an automatic bid to the Ninth Annual NCAA Division I Women’s Water Polo Championship, which will be held May 8-10 at the University of Maryland’s Campus Recreation Center.
