MAAC and Mercer County Sports and Entertainment Commission Team up to Offer Clinic

As part of the 2009 MAAC Baseball Championship, a Skills Development Clinic will be held at Waterfront Park in Trenton, New Jersey on Saturday, May 23. The clinic, open to Grades 6-12, is free with the purchase of a Saturday game ticket, and will begin at 9:00 a.m. The MAAC Championship game will follow at 1:00 p.m.

The clinic will feature instruction from former Major League outfielder Dave Gallagher, Hall of Fame Coach Sonny Pittaro, Baseball Author and Instructor Mark Gola, and Professional Scout and Instructor Mike Gossner.

Registration for the clinic will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the clinic. Both the child and a parent/guardian must purchase a game ticket for entrance into Waterfront Park. Attendees should bring their own glove, bat, and helmet.

The 2009 MAAC Baseball Championship runs from May 21-23, 2009 at Mercer County's Waterfront Park in Trenton, N.J. Waterfront Park is home to the Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. Canisius, Manhattan, Marist and Rider have qualified for this year's Championship Tournament.
