MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
JENNIFER HARE, NIAGARA

Hare led the
Purple Eagles in batting average, RBIs and was tied in hits this week. The
freshman backstop batted .875 (7-for-8) and had a 1.250 slugging percentage in
three appearances in Niagara’s 4-0 week.
She was a perfect 6-for-6 in the series sweep of Saint Peter’s on Saturday; she
drove in five RBIs, including a three-run homer in game two. She was also a gem
in the field with a perfect fielding percentage and 16 putouts.

MALLORY ALDRED, CANISIUS

5-7, Whitby, Ontario/Anderson CVI
Aldred posted two shutout wins last week and struck
out 18 in 12 innings of work as the Golden Griffins went 2-0 in her starts at
Buffalo and at Siena. Aldred earned her 25th career win April 29 after she shut out
cross-town rival Buffalo on three hits while fanning seven in five innings of
work. Against Siena May 2, on the road, Aldred scattered six hits over seven
innings and struck out 11 Saints en route to her 16th victory of the season. The complete-game
shutout win at Siena was her league-leading 12th shutout win of the season to go with her
league best eighth shutout.

RACHELLE
HARRIS, IONA
Freshman, SS, 5-2,
Houston, TX/Nimitz
Harris batted .538 in four
games last week setting the table for the Gaels in the lead off spot. She had
seven hits in 13 at bats while recording three walks (.625 on base percentage).
Harris also scored a run and drove in another for the Gaels. She had two hits
in three of the four games this past week.
