Pattison Sports Group Lands MAAC Account

Thornton, Pennsylvania – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has reached an agreement with Pattison Sports Group to serve as the exclusive sponsorship rights holder for the MAAC for the next four years, as announced by Rich Ensor, Commissioner.  

With the partnership, which officially began June 1, 2009, PSG will market a variety of corporate sponsorship opportunities involving Television (MSG, ESPN), campus Courtside Signage, the MAAC Campus Tour, the MAAC Minute on ESPN Radio and the Men’s & women’s Basketball Championships.  PSG will also serve as a sales representative for MAACSports.com, the official Conference website.  

"The MAAC is an outstanding group of institutions that have athletes and athletic programs committed to excellence on the court of play and in the classroom.  PSG is excited about the opportunity to grow their Conference Teammate Program as the Conference continues to expand its broadcast and marketing efforts" said PSG President, Jeff Long.

 "As the  MAAC explored its options from a number of firms it recognized that PSG had a unique background in the sports marketing industry combing a proven sales team with an understanding of the college conference business environment," notes MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor.  "The MAAC membership looks forward to its partnership with PSG and Jeff Long."

Heading up PSG’s sales management effort in Edison, NJ will be general manager Keith Rule. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and worked for Stratus Telcom and First Investors.

With 10 institutions strongly bound by the sound principles of quality and integrity in academics and excellence in athletics, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference enters its 29th year of competition during the 2009-10 academic year.   Conference members include: Canisius College, Fairfield University, Iona College, Loyola College (Md.), Manhattan College, Marist College, Niagara University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s College, and Siena College. The MAAC supports 24 sports and championships and is headquartered in Edison, N.J.
