THERESA FERRAINA, LOYOLA
F, Gr., 5-3, Long Branch, N.J./St. John Vianney
Ferraina, a graduate student forward, led the Greyhounds to a 2-1 record to open the season with four points on a goal and two assists. In a 1-0 season opening win at Mount St. Mary's, she assisted on Tessa McClenahan's game-winner in the 59th minute. The fifth-year forward and co-captain also assisted on Kelly Farrell's game-winner in the 57th minute at High Point and added an insurance goal as well.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
KELLY MAHONEY, IONA
GK, So., 5-6, Salisbury Hills, N.Y./Washingtonville
Mahoney, a sophomore goalkeeper, made a total of 12 saves over two games, allowing just one goal in 180 minutes and earning a .923 save percentage. She had a seven-save effort in Iona's season opening 2-0 win over Stony Brook to get her second career shutout, and followed with five saves at Long Island.

TESSA MCCLENAHAN, LOYOLA
M, Fr., 5-6, Arnprior, Ontario/Arnprior District
McClenahan, a freshman midfielder, led the Greyhounds with five points on a pair of goals and an assist to open her career. Coming off the bench in her collegiate debut at Mount St. Mary's, she scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute off a pass from Theresa Ferraina. At High Point, McClenahan added an assist, and finally, at 26th ranked Wake Forest, the Canadian scored her second goal of the season off a corner kick in the 14th minute which tied the game at one goal apiece.
