MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
GIOVANNI DESTASIO, IONA
F, Sr., 5-8, 158, Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham
Destasio, a senior forward, scored the game-winning goal in each of Iona's two victories this week. He scored early in the first overtime period at Drexel to break a 1-1 tie, and netted the only goal of the day on a penalty kick at Sacred Heart. Destasio has now scored in five of Iona's eight contests this season, including the last three straight.

NILS BINSTOCK, IONA
GK, Sr., 5-11, 167, Toronto, Ontario/Vermont
Binstock, a senior goalkeeper, picked up his fourth and fifth wins of the season in Iona's 2-0 week. He made four saves in the overtime victory at Drexel and saved three against Sacred Heart to preserve a 1-0 win for the Gaels, earning his fourth shutout of the year and the 19th of his career.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
PHIL CHABOT, SIENA
GK, Fr., 6-1, 180, Smithfield, R.I./La Salle Academy
Chabot, a freshman goalkeeper, had a 0.90 GAA and a .882 save percentage in two games this week. He earned his first career shutout, making nine saves in 110:00 minutes against UAlbany. Chabot made a big play in the 67th minute when UAlbany's Shaun Kane got in one-on-one and ripped a low shot, but Chabot went down and smothered the shot. He made six saves against UMass. Chabot faced 26 shots in a 0-1-1 week.
