MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
GIOVANNI DESTASIO, IONA
F, Sr., 5-8, 158, Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham
Destasio, a senior forward, scored two game-winning goals in Iona's 3-0 opening week. He scored the first goal of the day in the Gaels' shutout win over Georgia Southern, and netted the game winner with just a few minutes remaining against North Florida to help the team go undefeated at the UCF Fall Classic.

JOE PILLA, MARIST
GK, Jr., 6-1, 195, Watertown, Conn./Southern Connecticut
Pilla, a junior goalkeeper, has not allowed a goal in his first 200 minutes between the pipes for the Red Foxes. He made one save to preserve a 1-0 win against Delaware on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Pilla also he made four saves in the double overtime scoreless draw with Hartford.
STEVE SKONIECZNY, SIENA
GK, Jr., 6-0, 185, LaGrangeville, N.Y./Arlington
Skonieczny, a junior goalkeeper, was perfect this week as he recorded two 1-0 shutouts in his first two games of the season this past week. He made three saves in 90 minutes at Vermont and seven saves in 104:05 minutes against Rhode Island.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
MARIO DI MICELI, IONA
F, Fr., 5-10, Villers le Bouillet, Belgium/College Saint Veronique
Di Miceli, a freshman forward, saw time in all three of Iona's wins this week. He recorded his first collegiate goal against North Florida which, at the time, brought the Gaels back from a 1-0 deficit. Di Miceli averaged 1.33 shots per game and scored on his only shot on goal.
