Holt, Vuckovic and Frauenhofer Named MAAC Cross Country Runners of the Week

Doug Holt and Manhattan's Milos Vuckovic were named the MAAC Men's Cross
Country Runners of the Week, while Canisius' Maura Frauenhofer was selected as
the MAAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Vuckovic, a 5-8 senior from Brus, Serbia, led the
Manhattan men's cross country team to a season-opening first place team finish
at Saturday's Stony Brook Cross Country Invitational. Vuckovic finished in second place overall with
a time of 20:27.18 over the 6,200 meter course.
Holt was the top finisher for the Gaels with a sixth-place
performance at the Seawolves Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park on Long
Island. Holt recorded a time of 21:02.89 in the 6,200-meter event. The Gaels'
"B" squad finished fourth in the four-team quad-meet.
Frauenhofer, a junior from Williamsville, New York, ran to a
first place finish at the Duquesne Duals. Her time of 18:43 was a personal best
by over 15 seconds. It is the first time a Canisius runner has won the
individual title at the Duquesne Duals.
The 2009 MAAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships will be held
on October 30 at Van Cortlandt Park in Riverdale, New York.
